Business Central is Microsoft's cloud ERP for small and mid-sized companies — and the platform our own products are built on. We develop in it, extend it and support it. What we do not do is roll it out from scratch.
Business Central is Microsoft's cloud-based ERP for small and mid-sized companies. It replaces the patchwork of separate accounting packages, spreadsheets and standalone tools that most growing businesses accumulate, and puts finance, stock, sales, purchasing, projects and production into a single connected system.
Because it is part of the Microsoft ecosystem, it behaves like the software your team already uses. Data flows into Excel and Outlook without exporting, reports build in Power BI, and workflows extend through the Power Platform. There is no separate login culture to fight against.
It is delivered as a cloud service, so infrastructure, backups and version upgrades stop being your problem — and your team can work from anywhere with a browser.
A short overview from Microsoft's own Business Central team. It is the clearest three minutes you can spend on the platform before we talk about what it would look like in your business.

Eight functional areas that cover the operational core of most SMEs — configured to your processes rather than switched on wholesale.
General ledger, receivables and payables, bank reconciliation, fixed assets, multi-currency and period close.
Stock levels across locations, item tracking, replenishment and valuation with live availability.
Quotes, orders and invoicing with the customer history, pricing agreements and contacts attached.
Purchase requisitions and orders, supplier terms and receipt matching against invoices.
Job planning, resource assignment, time registration and work-in-progress against budget.
Service contracts, dispatch, work orders and the equipment history behind each customer.
Built-in financial reporting plus Power BI dashboards on live operational data.
Seamless connection to Microsoft 365, the Power Platform and third-party systems via API.
A licence is easy to buy. What determines whether Business Central actually works for you is everything around it.
AL extensions and Power Platform apps built for the requirements the standard product does not cover, delivered in two-week sprints.
Environments, permissions, company structures and integrations set up properly the first time.
We flag the capability you are not using and the release changes that will affect you, before they become issues.
SLA-backed support with structured ticketing and phone access — our partnership does not end at go-live.
Role-based sessions so each team learns the parts of the system they actually use, not a generic tour.
Finly extends your finance side and SLinkHub handles your e-invoicing — rolled into the environment you already run.
We are a development and support partner for Business Central, not a first-time implementation house.
This is worth being direct about. Infivex does not sell greenfield ERP implementations. If you have no ERP today and need Business Central stood up from nothing, that is a different kind of engagement and there are firms who do it well — we will happily point you at one.
What we do is everything after that. Extensions and Power Platform apps for the gaps standard functionality leaves. Integrations into the rest of your landscape. Our own products, Finly and SLinkHub, rolled into your environment. Advice on capability you already pay for but do not use. And support under an SLA once it is all running.
If your Business Central is in place but not doing what the business needs, that is exactly the conversation we are built for.
Yes. It was designed for small and mid-sized businesses, and the common assumption that a company is "too small" for ERP is usually wrong — the efficiency gains from removing manual data entry and duplicate systems tend to reduce cost rather than add it. You also only pay for and configure the modules you use.
Not on our account, and not because of a compliance date. SLinkHub has interfaces for Dynamics NAV 2018 and Business Central - On Premise as well as current Business Central, so an older environment can meet its e-invoicing obligations without an ERP migration being forced on it. That leaves the move to Business Central as a decision you make on business grounds, at a time that suits you — see Upgrades & Migrations.
Yes. Migrating from legacy systems is a core part of what we do. We assess your current system, agree what must move and what should be archived, then test the migration in a sandbox environment before it touches production. See Upgrades & Migrations.
That is common, and it is why we build. Simple gaps are usually best filled with a Power Platform app; more advanced requirements get a fully customized, code-based extension developed in two-week sprints. Either way the core platform stays upgradeable. See Custom Solutions.
Proactively. We notify you in advance of upcoming releases, test them in a sandbox environment before production deployment, and continuously monitor your extensions for version compatibility. This significantly reduces the risk of unexpected downtime.
A demo built around a generic sample company tells you very little. Tell us how you work, and we will show you the parts that matter to you.
