What to install, how to set it up, and where to get help with Finly Finance & Accounting for Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central.
Finly ships as two extensions installed together:
Install Core first, then the country app for the localization the company runs in. Adding a second country later does not disturb an existing installation.
Finly replaces the single Post action with two steps. Book records the document as a draft — it is complete, numbered and reviewable, but not in the ledger. Post then commits a reviewed batch. A closed-period guard refuses postings into a period you have closed.
Statements arrive by CAMT.053 in every country, and additionally by CODA and SODA for Belgian companies. Lines are matched against open ledger entries by priority — structured reference first, then amount and date, then counterparty — and the reconciliation card shows which rule matched each line. Unmatched lines are held for you rather than guessed at.
Sales invoice posting generates a structured creditor reference: OGM for Belgian companies, ISO 11649 RF otherwise. Both are validated on entry, so a mistyped reference is caught before it reaches a payment file.
The VAT daybook is a chronological sales and purchase VAT journal available in every country. Belgian installations additionally get the Belgian VAT statement, manual VAT corrections and grouped INTERVAT declarations for a group of companies. Annual accounts, profit & loss, trial balance and income/balance statements print from Core, taking the statutory company details (legal form, company register, street name and number) from the country app.
The interface is available in English, French (fr-BE and fr-FR) and Dutch (nl-BE and nl-NL). The two French and the two Dutch variants differ in accounting glossary, not only in spelling — a Belgian French user sees avoir where a French user sees note de crédit. Business Central picks the file by the user's language setting.
E-mail support@infivex.com in English, French or Dutch. Include the company name, the environment (production or sandbox), the extension version, and what you were doing when it went wrong — a screenshot of the error usually saves a round trip.
